The Tiffin Allegro Club staff wants to thank all who participated in the lottery process for the April 2023 Lake Wales, FL, rally. All applicants have been notified. Please check your spam folder if you have not received your notification.
Selected applicants have a timeframe shown on their invoice in which they must respond and pay. If they do not meet the allotted timeframe, they will forfeit their spot, with no exceptions.
We will start the lottery selection process for applications that are on the waitlist this afternoon. Those selected from the waitlist will be notified within 48 hours.
If you are not selected this time around, your application is still valid and will remain on the waitlist.
We would also like to take a moment to address some concerns and feedback we have received.
The application process was handled via a lottery selection. It had nothing to do with applying on time. The processors handled the applications and notified us of the final selected applicants. Your Tiffin Allegro Club membership number was the unique identifier and what the processors used to generate their own unique identifier to add additional security parameters to the random selection process. We sent several notifications regarding your Allegro Club membership needing to be current at the time the lottery process opened. As indicated in our posting, we were unable to process new or renewal memberships while the rally application was in process.
In years past, the rally registrations sold out within minutes, so with this new process, you had a greater chance of being selected. We received well over the allotted number of applicants before the application was extended, but many owners complained about not getting or checking their emails on time, not being on Facebook, and the rally being sold out within minutes using the previous registration process. The executive team thought extending it would create excitement and be a nice gesture since this was the first time doing a lottery process. So, again the process was 100% fair, and it had nothing to do with applying on time.
We understand your disappointment, but please know our staff worked diligently once we received the final selection file to process all selections manually, issue the required invoices, and send individual email notifications to all. If you were not selected, you were automatically placed on the waitlist.
As with any new process, lessons were learned. In the future, we will not extend a lottery once it has opened.
