Reminder : WV Rally Registration is coming up.

Just a Reminder of Upcoming Tiffin Allegro Club Rally! West Virginia Rally goes on sale Tuesday, January 24th at 10:00 am Central Time.

Join us in the scenic Appalachian Mountains at the State Fair of West Virginia on June 5-8th for our summer Tiffin Allegro Club rally! We are prepared to host up to 300 coaches at this facility. A display of beautiful new Tiffin Motorhomes will be available to tempt you!
The campground has 30 AMP electrical service, water, wi-fi and sewer hookups. Average temperatures here in June are highs in the 70’s and lows in the 50’s. Our rally begins on Monday, June 5th and coaches will depart on Friday, June 9th. If you wish to arrive at the fairgrounds prior to the rally or stay afterwards, you can make reservations directly with the fairgrounds staff and make payment to them for any pre or post nights. The fairgrounds’ telephone number is 304-645-1090. The rally buildings will be closed and there will be no rally activities before the rally begins.

Your rally fee will include multiple catered meals, ice cream socials, live entertainment, four nights’ camping, seminars, shopping with RV suppliers and local vendors, and other fun activities. Your rally fee also includes our terrific Tiffin Technicians performing up to three minor repairs on your coaches. You have made a sizeable investment in purchasing a beautiful motor coach. Take this valuable opportunity at our rallies to learn all you can by attending our seminars and talking with representatives from Tiffin suppliers such as Freightliner, Onan, Triple H Electronics and others.

The cost for one coach and two adults is only $459. We will begin accepting reservations on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:00 am Central Time. Our rallies sell out quickly – the Okeechobee Rally sold out in less than two hours! Don’t delay if you are interested in attending! The only way to register for this rally will be online at http://www.Tiffinmotorhomes.com. (The Registration Form will not be available until registration opens and it will be removed when the rally is full.) Click on the Owner’s tab, select Tiffin Allegro Club, and click on Rallies. Open the Registration Form by clicking on the space as instructed.

Information you will need to complete the form:
• Tiffin Allegro Club membership #
• Name, address, cell #
• Tiffin Allegro Club Chapter # (if applicable)
• Model, year & length of Tiffin coach
• First time rally attendee?
• Request for handicap parking area?

Complete the required information by filling in the blanks and click SUBMIT. Pay for the rally on the next page by entering your credit card information into this secure PayPal site. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account for payment. You can pay as a “guest” the same as those who have an account. If the rally sells out before you register, don’t despair! Add your name to our waiting list and we will contact you if a space becomes available.

This outside vendor accumulates all registration forms and provides them to the Club in the order in which they are received. This eliminates the problems with overloading our email server, jamming the fax machine, etc. No registrations will be accepted by mail, in person or by telephone. Anyone not having access to the internet can ask a friend or family member to register for them. This rally will sell out quickly so don’t delay in getting your registration completed online. Too much information in too small a space!

This is just a reminder that the Syracuse Rally has been cancelled . Instead of Syracuse, NY we will host our summer rally in the beautiful mountains of Lewisburg,  Rally will go on sale at 10:00 AM on January 24, 2017.

 

 

Pelican Allegros of Louisiana celebrate Christmas

Whoooee, that Gaston sure lit up the sky to guide the PALs to a wonderful Christmas party the weekend of December 1-4 at Lakeside RV Park in Livingston, LA.  We had 21 coaches which arriving Thursday and Friday.  Attendees included the Boreys, Brians, Browers, Chapitals, Cheramies, Coles, Darbonnes, Garys, Griffins, Heberts, Holliers, Lams, Louvieres, Miesches, Raybons, Schnebelens, Sullivans, Toups, Trahans, Tregres, and Youngs.  Thursday evening we gathered in the big pavilion for great hors d’ oeuvres and fellowship.

Friday, folks visited and worked on projects on their coaches.  As the sun set we roosted at the big pavilion to enjoy Gus’s fantastic chicken and sausage gumbo and many sides.  Because many of the girls wanted to go to the area arts and craft shows on Saturday Dwight held the meeting while we were already gathered.  The meeting was called to order with the first item being old business and Allegro Club’s request to survey the interest in starting another Louisiana chapter.  Dwight said that the survey was not completed yet but emphasized that we would help another chapter get started.  The first order of new business was the election of officers for 2017.  Approved unanimously by acclimation the 2017 PALs officers are Dwight Brower, President; Gus Cheramie, Vice President; Liz Miesch, Wagon Master; Stacie Raybon, Treasurer; Lonnie Louviere, Secretary.  The Treasury report was $2223.84.  2017 dues of $25  are due and are being accepted.  Debbie discussed the upcoming outings listed below and then the meeting was adjourned.   A big club thank you to Debbie for all her hard work as Wagon Master for the last three years.

Saturday morning brought a gray day with the increased threat of rain but that didn’t slow down the girls who took off in many directions to enjoy the various craft shows and shopping opportunities for deals that they could not pass up.  After lunch those that had not gone shopping began decorating the meeting room and preparing for the evening feast.  By the time the girls returned the decorating was done and the food was well on its way.  Around 5:00 we started circling the area as if the water was boiling with bait fish and enjoying stories of the day’s deeds. At 6:00 the fried turkeys were pulled from the pots and placed among the bountiful feast.  We fell in line like dive bombers ready to roll in on target.  While enjoying all of the food that was so generously provided by our members the room fell awfully quiet. Then with the jingle of the bells breaking the quiet enjoyment of the feast the announcement that the game of Dirty Santa was beginning.  The game grew in fervor as a pelican that resembled cousin Boudreaux flew around the room several times.  Not to be out done, in the magic of Christmas, a pair of mugs imprinted with PALs 2016 and many other items followed suit.  Full as ticks on a hound dog we all waddled back to our coaches to lay our heads on the pillow.

Sunday morning brought rainy weather which made leaving the group even more problematic.  We all had a great time and missed those who could not make it.

CHESAPEAKE ALLEGRO CHAPTER #63 ENJOY THE SEASON BY GIVING

CHESAPEAKE ALLEGRO CHAPTER #63 RESPONSIBLE FOR TROOP CARE PACKAGE SURGE

Thanks to a generous donation from the Chesapeake Allegro Chapter #63 Motorhome Club, the St. James’ Church of Downingtown, PA was able to pack 32 boxes for the Christmas mailing to those in military service. Parishioners graciously volunteered to mail them so they would be received in time for the Holidays.

The donation is part of an on-going Chesapeake Allegro Club Program whereby Wagonmasters can designate a “charity of choice” for Club members to donate “goods in kind”. Karen and Ron Meacham chose the St. James’ Troop Care Package Outreach and donations of snacks, candy, sundries and stationery items were collected in November.

This St. James’ Church outreach program was started several years ago. There are currently 7 committee members that assist and since the program inception they have mailed out close to 400 packages to military personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea and Guantanamo Bay.

 

Merry Christmas from the Allegro Golden Bears !!!

The Allegro Golden Bears, Chapter 38, just completed our annual Christmas Outing to Jackson Rancheria. The rv park is fully decorated for Christmas.

Basically, this is a five-day food fest.  Most of the 17 rigs arrived on Wednesday and  decorated their motorhomes with lights and outdoor blowups.  We gathered for a delicious Mexican meal at the El Torino restaurant.  On Thursday, we battled a full day of rain, but that did not keep us from heading out to pizza at the Gold Dust Pizza Place in Sutter Creek.  Friday, as usual, the men in the club made us  breakfast, and they went all out.  We had pancakes, 3 different kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and fruit.  We were too full to move but still managed to have our meeting and elect our new officers for the next year.  We enjoyed the day visiting with our friends while our avid jigsaw puzzlers were hard at work..  In the evening we enjoyed delicious hot soup and appetizers and lots of Christmas treats.

Our annual Christmas Dinner was held on Saturday evening, catered by Thomi’s which is now called the Highway House.  Frank, the owner,  provided us with a wonderful prime rib and salmon dinner in a lovely decorated room.  We enjoyed a rowdy Christmas gift exchange in which we could either pick a gift or steal someone else’s.  Special guests for the evening  were Phillip, Sorena and Matt Hollingsworth.

Sunday our hosts provided us with pastries from Andrea’s Pastry shop in Amador City and we ended the evening back at the Highway House to indulge in Frank’s delicious onion soup with our dinner.

The Allegro Golden Bears wish all the other chapters a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Happy Trails to all of you.
